Eye Health

Our comprehensive examination of the eye includes an evaluation of the anatomical structures of the eye, and a functional test of the vision system. The goal is to offer you peace of mind regarding the health of your eyes, and early detection and successful treatment of abnormal eye conditions. Visual field testing is part of our exam and assesses the eye's ability to recognize light and the brain's ability to process light detection at the side or peripheral vision. We also evaluate the back of the eye or retina using a new technology for best care called Optomap.

OPTOMAP: Retinal Scan is an ultra-wide (>180o) image of the retina generated by a scanning laser ophthalmoscope. Compared to traditional methods employing dilating agents, a lamp and a magnifying lens, the Optomap offers a digital image with a wider field of view (200o vs 30o) and the same detection of retinal diseases. Patient convenience is high, education is effective, and information is digitally archived for future reference.
